After coming back from half term and having a short break from our video, we decided to get some more audience feedback with a fresh mind, and after looking at our feedback it is obvious that the main problem is that the lip syncing needs adjusting.

Social Networking, Audience Feedback

Since starting this project, Orla, Sharmin and myself have had an iMessage group chat in order for us to stay in constant communication with each other. This has been extremely helpful in discussing our audience feedback and to keep each other updated on our progress.

Here I have asked a couple of people if they would answer some questions for my audience feedback via facebook, whatsapp and twitter, and so I am awaiting their answers.

Audience Feedback Evaluation

Although our previous interviews are helpful, the individuals interviewed are also media students in our class, and so although their opinion is extremely valid, their feedback may be biased due to them understanding how difficult it is to make a video from scratch, and so I think it would be beneficial to our group to ask some for some outside criticism. I will therefore forward the video via social network in order to receive a broader range of feedback from a range of demographics.

"Drown" (Draft, For Audience Review)

This is the first draft of our music video. In order to help us come to a finished product that we're happy with, it would be helpful to get some audience feedback to enable us to pin-point shots or editing techniques which may not be working, and to help us make a video which not only is enjoyable for us to watch, but also for our audience.

Editing Decisions

Myself and Orla stayed behind and edited today. We are very nearly finished, with about 15 seconds left of the video to edit. We have decided that we want these last 15 seconds to be extremely chaotic with fast pace editing, short clips and a significant amount of overlays. However when watching our video we also decided that we needed to bring back some of our orignal footage from the first minute of the video - where there is no sound and I am running through the archway. We feel this is necessary in making our piece feel more unified, and to reinforce that the video is following the story of one individual.
