Filming

During our day of filming we only had 4 hours at our location, despite this I feel that we got a lot done and managed to shoot in at least 4 different areas including both interior and exterior.

I thoroughly enjoyed filming and felt that we have some interesting shots and footage to use in our video and I can't wait to start editing

Today we are hitting our location and shooting our performance footage

Building The Songbird Hit Norway

After getting some footage at Building The Songbird's gig in Norway, I thought that the handheld footage of a live set would suit well incorporated into a music video, especially for the song N'Shit as it is about where the members come from and about their journey/growing up, and so footage of their first international gig would add an almost sentimental aspect to the video. As well as this, the live footage captures the emotion and energy in which the band try to convey to their audience, and therefore perhaps it would be in our best interest to steer away from a narrative music video, and generate a video which will illustrate the exuberance and meaning behind Building the Songbird and their music.

Having thought about this, music videos from bands such as The Story so Far, Bring me the Horizon and Expire could be helpful starting points to get inspiration for our own video;

The Story So Far - Roam

Bring Me The Horizon - Go To Hell For Heaven's Sake

Expire - Abyss
