DIGIPAK

FRONT and SIDE BAR

BACK and SIDE BAR

(Additionally, for the side bar of my Digipak [which I have illustrated next to both my front and back cover] I simply put the album name, To Withstand The Force of Storms, in black with the same font, so that on display if neither the front of back of the case is showing, the album is still visible and easily distinguished from other digipaks)

BAND ADVERT

For my band advert, as we are a rock band I decided that a tour poster would be the best suiting advertising method as they are often found in magazines, such as KERRANG, in which I chose to create a magazine cover for, enabling the fan base to know of upcoming gigs - as well as this, tour posters would enable us to attract new fans, as even if they had not heard of our band, they may be fans of the other bands in which we are touring with, thereby generating mass publicity for all bands involved in the tour.
I also chose to only create a tour for the UK because, as we are a new and upcoming band, it would be difficult for us to finance a European tour, let alone a world tour, this is also why I chose small venues - which is quite common for bands of the rock genre to generate a more intimate gig as opposed to a 'concert', which is more common for mainstream artists.

I included a qr code generator in addition to the website in order to quicken the process in which to buy tickets. The addition of the website however, enables those who may not have their phone on them, to take a note of the website.
Like all the adverts in which I researched I capitalised my text in order to reduce the risk of letters being misinterpreted. I positioned the tour dates in the centre, adhering to the rule of thirds, thereby making the tour dates and locations the main visual focus. The colour of the texts match the colour palette of the image in the background, complementing each other and keeping the poster colour efficient.

Like my Magazine Cover, I used Photoshop to create this advert, and will continue to use photoshop for my Digipak.

MAGAZINE COVER

I chose this shot from our music video for the front cover of my magazine as it is the only shot of us as a group that isn't performance, as well as this the mise-en-scene has an urban and grunge vibe which matches our clothing and the genre of the song.
I created the magazine on Adobe Photoshop, and decided to use KERRANG! As the template as it would be the magazine most likely to publicise our band and generate an audience who would genuinely listen to our song
