NEW IDEA

Tonight Alive - Lonely Girl

After coming into today's lesson, both Orla and Sharmin felt that it was too much pressure to try and cut down an original song, and did not feel it was fair to cut Building The Songbird's song for the music video, and so came to me with 'Tonight Alive's - Lonely Girl' as a video idea.

They chose this song as Tonight Alive are a band that each of us are fond of, and also has a female vocalist and so would be easier for us to get footage of lip syncing, as well as this, the band still fit to our alternative/rock preferences.

Chvrches - Gun

After coming to the conclusion of deciding to change our video to a female vocalist, I showed Orla and Sharmin 'Chvrches' as the song has a strong beat with exciting opportunities to edit - however the genre is very different to our initial idea and so we may decide to still use a more alternative band.

Tonight Alive - The Ocean

As a group we are very keen to keep to our rock and alternative roots and so are content on using Tonight Alive as our chosen band. However after listening to Lonely Girl, we felt that the ideas that we generated were very cliche, such as break ups and relationships, and we did not want to create an 'overused' video. Due to this we looked at some other songs by Tonight Alive, and came across 'The Ocean'.
