- Firstly we thought of doing Kpop song 'Boyfriend' by BOYFRIEND as we thought that it would be extremely enjoyable to learn the choreography, however the reality of learning choreography as well as the Korean lyrics proved to be a long shot, hence why we decided against this song.
- Secondly we looked at songs such as 'Bring me to Life' by Evanescence and 'Behind these hazel Eyes' by Kelly Clarkson due to them being childhood favourites of ours, however when watching the music videos we came to realise that there was too much narrative and so our lip syncing abilities would not be proven - which surprisingly is the idea behind doing a prelim(!)
Finally we came to the conclusion to do 'Teenage Kicks' by One Direction
We chose this particular song as the video is not narrative, thus having clear shots of the vocalists, enabling us to lip sync throughout the whole video and we would also be able to replicate it more easily due to the handheld nature. We also wanted to choose a song whose genre would contrast to our final video idea, which is ambient hardcore.
